In a unexpected collaboration that challenges usual forecasts, Ubisoft has announced an virtual collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The surprising Thanksgiving event runs from November 25 through December 22, providing no-cost additional story content for Shadows players.
According to the formal release, "A strange meeting pulls heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh adventure, where rumors of prohibited ceremonies and terrifying changes echo through the shadows." The storyline introduces a "oddly attired woman named Ada" who tasks the duo with traveling into the Crystalline Cavern—a important location from Attack on Titan—to save her ally from a hidden sect.
The questline focuses on "peculiar tests and a terrifying enemy" and is open to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.
The preview showcases the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was formerly where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through eras. The preview finishes with a dramatic moment showing a character, likely the hostage, transforming into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.
