FC Barcelona Ready for First Fixture at Renovated Camp Nou this Saturday

Barcelona have announced they are set to host at the still-under-construction Camp Nou this Saturday. The club will host the Basque side in La Liga over two years following their departure so building work could begin.

“We envisioned this comeback. The moment has arrived. Home again at Spotify Camp Nou.”

Attendance will be limited with 45,401 fans are permitted inside based on approved permits. After final construction, the Camp Nou is due to hold over 104,000 attendees, increasing from the former 99,000. The club said recent additions comprise an updated entryway for the team plus modern locker rooms.

Stadium Testing

Barcelona held a public practice inside the stadium in early November. The club said they are seeking authorization from European football’s governing body for their upcoming Champions League fixture against Eintracht Frankfurt next month at the stadium. They have been hosting matches at Estadio Olímpic Lluís Companys.
