A man previously arrested in relation to the Manchester Jewish house of worship violent incident has been re-arrested at the city's airport.

Two individuals lost their lives when the attacker, thirty-five, executed a car and knife assault at the Heaton Park synagogue on 2 October.

North West Counter Terrorism Police stated the thirty-year-old man was first detained on suspected planning, preparing, and instigating of acts of terrorism.

Police indicated he was re-arrested at Manchester Airport on suspected withholding information contrary to Section 38B of the Terrorism Act 2000. He has since been released on bail with specific conditions.

Law enforcement stated they "do not believe there is no continuing danger to the public following the event last week."

Six individuals were held in the aftermath of the attack, with two—one male and one female—arrested in the following hours and then freed on Sunday night.

The following day, investigators announced they had been granted extra time to interrogate the remaining four, who were also detained on "suspected planning, preparation, and instigation of terrorist acts."

On midweek, police stated they too were set to be released but clarified that "was not an indication the investigation was finished."

Also on Wednesday, authorities revealed that the suspect placed an emergency call in which he pledged allegiance to the group calling itself IS.

One victim, 66, and 53-year-old another victim died in the attack on Middleton Road in the area.

The victim suffered a bullet injury after armed officers responded to the incident and shot the suspect dead.

A police bullet also hit another man, Yoni Finlay, who is undergoing treatment after surgery.
