A individual charged with pursuing Kate McCann apparently deposited her a voicemail message which asked: "what if I am Madeleine?"
Julia Wandelt, 24, who court testimony revealed has persistently claimed she was the missing Madeleine McCann, and Karen Spragg are standing trial indicted with harassing Kate and Gerry McCann between June 2022 and February this year.
On Monday, the tribunal heard phone records and evidence recovered from phones logged Ms Wandelt repeatedly requesting Madeleine's mother for a DNA test throughout the past two years.
Madeleine's vanishing in 2007 - at the age of three during a family holiday in Portugal - is among the most widely reported child disappearance cases and continues to be unresolved.
One phone message, presented in court, recorded Ms Wandelt stating: "I understand I'm fat and plain like Madeleine used to be, but I feel what I feel."
While one recording of Ms Wandelt's recordings with Mrs McCann's recording said: "What if there is a small chance that I am Madeleine? What happens next? Isn't that significant for you?"
"I don't want money, I have a life here in Poland, I simply desire to understand," the message continued.
The jury was informed that via electronic messages, mobile messages and communications, Ms Wandelt asked for a biological test, forwarded early photographs to her phone in a bid to display a similarity to Mrs McCann's vanished daughter, and stated to have "recollections" from a early life with the McCanns.
The investigator, an investigator with law enforcement who collated the evidence, informed the court there "seemed to lack any answers" from Mrs McCann.
Ms Wandelt also contacted acquaintances of the McCanns, as per the communication logs.
On 9 October 2024, Gerry McCann answered a communication from Ms Wandelt to his wife's phone, saying she had "a wrong number."
That day Ms Wandelt left a message on Mrs McCann's answerphone stating "I won't give up and I intend to demonstrate my claim."
The court was informed Mrs Spragg established a association online with Ms Wandelt before accompanying her on a visit to the McCanns' property in the county in December 2024.
Communication data revealed Mrs Spragg had contacted using communication app to Mrs McCann to express the press had characterized Ms Wandelt as "mentally unstable" but that she should be treated respectfully in the months before the appearance to Rothley, Leicestershire, in that winter.
The court was told communications between the two individuals, in that autumn, planning trying to get Mrs McCann's biological evidence from her garbage or from silverware at a restaurant.
"We must take action," Mrs Spragg informed Ms Wandelt.
On the occasion of the trip to their home, the defendant dispatched a communication which expressed: "We're currently positioned outside the McCanns' residence with our headlights off similar to private investigators. I desired to accomplish this with Peter Andrew I never thought I would be doing that with the McCanns."
The proceedings continues.
