Trevoh Chalobah followed his brother Nathaniel in playing for England, becoming the 21st pair of siblings to be selected for the national team.
Trevoh Chalobah is set to join up with the Three Lions selection to cover for unavailable Crystal Palace defender Marc Guehi.
The 26-year-old is set to link up with the squad for England's last World Cup qualifying matches against Albania and Serbia, but it has not yet been made public.
The England team have already booked their place for next summer's tournament.
Chalobah received his initial invitation under England manager Thomas Tuchel in the month of May and then played his first game against the Senegalese team.
In September, Tuchel stated Chalobah was unfortunate to be excluded from the team for qualifiers against Serbia and Andorra, and additionally omitted him for the subsequent October matches.
Tuchel has been an significant presence in Chalobah's career, having given him his Chelsea first-team bow in the year 2021.
Chalobah has played in all but four matches for Chelsea this season, with the side in third place in the Premier League, in the Carabao Cup last eight and in the league phase of the European competition.
Guehi sustained a foot injury in Crystal Palace's Conference League win over AZ Alkmaar in their last match.
There are set to be other additions to the team. Newcastle manager Eddie Howe has announced that both attacker Anthony Gordon (hip) and goalkeeper Nick Pope (a concussion) are set to pull out from the national team.
